 Most Piano Manufacturers recommend for a home piano at least four tunings the first year of the piano's life and an average of two tunings each year thereafter. If the piano is used for concert work, it should be tuned before each recital or concert. Remember that rapid changes in heat and cold and excessive changes in moisture and dryness, cause the various parts to shrink or swell, and such changes affect the tuning and tonal quality of your piano.
